Do you know this book Running the Road to ABC? I love it; written by Denize Lauture and illustrated by Reynold Ruffins, published in 1996 by Aladdin. It’s a wonderful book to celebrate the journey to school by children, no matter where in the world they might be. In this case, the writer takes us to Haiti where the children run to school barefoot every pre-dawn morning…So vibrant both in text and in illustrations, this gorgeous picture book is another must have for the bookshelves. I always find myself returning to this book over and over…
